At our first annual writing retreat - Lake Arrowhead, 2017 (L-R: Sarah, David, Ruth, Will, Michelle, Valerie, Carol, Steve)
It all started in San Diego in 2016, when each of us, perfect strangers, enrolled in the year-long Novel Writing Certificate Program at San Diego Writer's, Ink. We'd all decided we really needed to finish that novel. Or start it, or edit it, or light it on fire and drown the ashes.
Fortunately, the latter never happened (well ... hasn't yet). And that's largely because at the conclusion of the Program, we banded together for moral and writing and wine/beer/cheese support to form our weekly read & critique group, The Inkwells, that would keep us novel-ing long after our professional guidance ended.
Each of our novels varies wildly in genre and scope. We've got historical fiction, sci-fi, fantasy/steampunk, literary fiction, mystery, you name it. But they're all built on one very common premise: our dedication, love, and support of the writing craft, and for each other.
You can learn more about each of us, and check out our writing, on our individual author pages. Thanks for dropping by!
